Further on from Kiffsta's post about a stuck engine, this is how I unseized a Kawasaki 175cc two stroke that had had water get into the top of the piston (some dopey PO left the spark plug out).
My late uncle used to restore old stationary engines and he showed this technic to me.
I had sprayed the piston with WD40 (which is mainly fish oil) about two weeks ago when I bought this bike and let it sit.

I use boiling olive oil to heat and soften the rusty gunk that sits around the edge of the piston. First heat the oil as hot as you can on the stove. Cut potatoes into strips and place into hot oil. Looking good.

Remove chips when cooked and while oil is still burning hot pour into cylinder to cover top of piston. Don't worry about the bits of chip, they wont hurt.
    Enfield 7 007.JPG
Leave to cool while you go and enjoy your fresh cooked chips.
    Enfield 7 008.JPG Enfield 7 009.JPG
When cool I emptied out the oil and gave the piston a tap with a block of wood and plastic hammer. I saw the socket bar move so I knew the piston had shifted.
    Enfield 7 010.JPG
Used the socket bar to rotate the crank to get piston at bottom of stroke, turned crank back to lift barrel from cases and tapping with plastic hammer removed barrel from piston.

Needs rebore and oversize piston and will be good to go.
There are many other ways to do this, but this is my preferred way.
Note; I don't normally eat chips unless they come with a pub lunch on a club ride somewhere. The things I do for this forum!

Finally today after so many attempts I managed to move the pistons in the CBR250rr. :drinks:
The bike has been completely stripped, most parts bagged and tagged and ready for collection.
A huge thanks to @Murdo for his informative method of cooking chips and un-seizing engines.:thumb_ups:
Tried the hot olive oil treatment yesterday.......nil success but thought I'd give it another try today
and at last some movement at the camp.
This CBR was seriously neglected in so many ways, hey as Chris said: you can't win them all.:(

The up side is there are plenty of parts for you devoted Honda fans.:)
Not exactly the way I wanted this project to go...............**** happens.

Now I get the chips reference! :thumb_ups:

Will have to try this on Bruiser (CB250RS, one of my "parts bikes" for Scarlet)
