Forks leaking on the bike, took it to a mechanic who says that its not the seals. The part of forks that is pushed downwards on applying pressure has (very) small rusty dots on both the forks and he says that it is because of these dots that small amount of oil flows out as the forks expand. Does this sound convincing? What should I do?

    Huh? What? Find another mechanic.

There should be no hole to the outside on your forks. First wipe the area in question really good and dry. Take it for a sipn, say 50km. Then look at and touch the fork. Where is it oily? around the seal only? If it is leaking all the way at the top, then there is another issue all together.

Well I have had the problem for more than two months now, the outer area of the forks gets oily as I apply pressure on forks to push them down and then pull back up. If this is a problem with the seal, which seals do I need. It's 3ln model.
