I have a few minor niggly problems with my fzr, firstly when I turn my indicator on it stays on and doesn't blink, secondly my speedo cable came out of the speedo end and I have no idea how to fix it and lastly it feels like my steering isn't straight...I have to hold the handles a little bit to the right. Any ideas on how to fix these problems?

My indicators sometimes stay on and not flash, i think its something to do with the flash can...i just turn it off and back on and it flashes again.

    1. Non-flashing indicators.

Start off by checking all the bulbs. If they're all working, then it's probably a gunked up flasher relay. 99% of the time it'll be a loose wire or a blown bulb.
To appease my own curiosity, if both bulbs are working... do they start flashing if you give the bike a bit of throttle (~6000rpm).

    2. Speedo cable

Not sure if you have to remove the windscreen or not to get to yours, but either way you need to screw the speedo drive cable back into the instrument cluster. Should be as easy as it sounds.

    3. Steering not straight

Sounds like bent forks to me. Have you dropped the bike?
Either way, as long as it's only slightly out then you should be able to either straighten them with a bit of brute force or loosen the triple clamps and re-center them.

Oh, well if the plastic off the back of the instrument cluster is gone then it might be time for some creative fabricating. If your keen on a good job, might be worth shopping around for a bolt that is the right size to fit the cable sheath then drilling it out and cutting it to size and then fitting it to the instrument cluster. If your just after a quick and easy solution then epoxy resin or liquid nails might be more to your liking. <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

No that part is still there......the part from the cable is missing to screww it onto the intrument cluster. I might just have to get a another cable from the wreckers...

It has not just slid down the cable at all?

i have just been for a ride and noticed that in first gear, when i get to redline, the bike kinda spluters and stops accelerating. it may or may not be relevant but i usually put premium in it, but last time i filled it up i put in normal unleaded. any clues? or is this normal?
