After the accident I got a new engine cover since the old one was pretty worn out. I got some paint stipper and got ride of the enamel covering hoping for a similar result to what I had. But now I just have a brushed metal looking engine cover. I've tried using metal polish but that doesn't do anything. It doesn't look like the original engine cover was chromed though.
