Hello guys
I saw this on youtube and i was just wondering if anyone has installed one on a FZR? i searched the forum to see if there's any posts about it but couldn't find anything so i thought ill just ask and see if anyone has done this mod? By watching one of the Installation video's it kinda looks pretty basic.
So has anyone seen or installed a Digital Gear Indicator on a FZR250 before? and do you guys think its a good idea to get one?
Cheers

Haha thanks for the reply mate, yeah its either no one likes me or they are just simply not interested in the mod, i hardly see any registered members online anyway which might be another reason as well. Anyways here's a link for one of them installed on a Yamaha FZ, they look pretty neat and helpful for a newbie like me

I think unfortunately this forum has died a slow death......I log in on a regular basis and theres very rarely any new posts.
At least all the valuable info and advice is always here to refer back to ........

Seems a bit that way. The FZR250 has been out of production for a long time now (around 18 years) and active members are declining, so it surprises me that we still have members joining. But I guess that we will press on for a while yet.

I made a gear indicator for my SV650 and found it useful. Some times I pull up in a hurry and forget to drop it back to 1st, so I can see without too much trouble where I am at. The SV has a voltage output from the gear selector to the ECU so the microprocessor measures that voltage and drives the gear display accordingly.
The one you are looking at counts the up and down gear changes to work out where it is. Good value for what you get.

I received the one I ordered this morning and was hoping to install it on the weekend but unfortunately that ain't gonna happen cause I am now facing a much bigger problem!! Believe it or not guys tonight when I was riding home on the M5 the left foot peg along with the gear shifter just fell off I have no idea how but I think the bolt went loose and just slipped out, luckily I'm on my L's and I was only doing 80 K's so I just picked it up and put it in my backpack and was forced to drive home on the same gear which was either 3rd or 4th, so check those bolts boys!!
By the way does anyone know a good FZR mechanic in Sydney?
