Was putting my carbs back on and realised I had an extra inch or two of decelerator cable slack.

Just found the reason was a broken throttle tube. Where the cables mount at the hand grip end, there are two little tabs that hold the cables in. The tab holding the decelerator cable in has snapped off.

I can get a new one from the uk but its $50, does anyone have a spare one lying around? (C model).

    Cheers

Glad u found the problem ..... I was meaning to answer your query in the other thread about the purpose of the second cable .....as far as I know its just for safety reasons to help with a stuck open throttle.
The same setup is on the Fizzer and I have the brand new cable sitting in its packet waiting to be installed

kds is that for cables? I think mine are fine.

Waku it was $15 +$5 shipping from vicwreck.

Not sure if you guys have heard of them, but these guys specialize in and race these bikes. The couple times I've called them looking for bits its always been 'yes' straight away without needing to check at all haha. http://www.vicwreck.com.au/
