Guys don't answer this if you don't want to but I thought it would be good to get an idea of bike prices..
I got mine 4 months ago from the auctions
paid $1200 for it no rego
paid another $1500 in repairs and fuel problems to be fixed
$150 for 8" thermo and biggest battery that would fit

I got mine in May, got it through the trading post. It was 2,500, reg till feb next year with single seat rego. The guy had to put a new chain and sprocket on it for RWC. We found the back caliper had seized, had to get another ($50) It's in pretty good nick, when i first got it it started well, then i didn't ride it and had a lot of problems starting it after that. Someone told me fuel pump was stuffed, got a new one ($120), still wouldn't go, then someone else said spark plugs and wrong fuel.. more money wasted there as we changed them. Ended up taking it to mechanic who said shims were stuffed and the intake valves were all carboned up. He got it going on first visit ($70) then i took it back and he fixed shims, tuned it and balanced carbies ($250) more money
But now it runs well (starts like a dream - no need for choke even), apparently the head stock bearings and rear shock are stuffed too but i'm not keen on spending more money on it.. total cost so far.. $3144 (inc new tyre- other was roadworthy but bike had been used as commuter and it was square)

I got my 2kr, for $2,300 in the trading post...in fairly decent condition...Done a fair bit of engine work, thanks to my old man . I also had to replace the shims, because the valve clearances were very low. Some paint and primer for the frame (just touched it up, came up really good), fuel filter, oil filter..some new spark plugs. It needed a new front tyre, but I decided to change both as the back was quite flat...so that was around 300 for both. So all up its costed me around 2,700.

i picked up mine for $4500 At Spot on Motorcycles in Elizabeth Street Melbourne. Its a 92 3LN with 12 months rego. It had the carbies replced and a new set of tyres put on it when they finally delivered it. All up pretty happy with it. Only problem has been that my fuel tank was full of **** and blocking up regularly so i just cleaned that out. Cost. $0

I paid 3000 for my 92 3LN. All up, with minor engine tuning etc and repair/respray fairings (incl. two sides and top fairing, which were all cracked) it comes to about $4500. More than I expected, but that's always the case. I dont' care - it looks sweet in the R6 blue & white colours, and R2 badging.
