cooling fan

    have just bought myself a bike fzr250 89 2kr and when i turn ignition on fan starts, "good bad or just let it go?", not registered yet so can't take it on road to test it, unlicensed as well, i want to reg it as a single seater as well whats the go with that here in qld, bought the bike yesterday 22nd

    It either has a faulty thermo-switch on the thermostat housing (disconnect the wire and see if it stops), a short in the wiring, or has been wired to run all the time. Some one had wired a a toggle switch in mine so it could be turned on at will.

    Not really an issue unless you do a lot of city commuting as the battery does not charge at low revs while you are constantly stopped at lights.
