Hey got an Fzr250 for first bike and was just doing a full service on it....
ran really nice afterwards....only thing was before the service it had a
deadspot around 5-7000rpm and after about 2 days the problem has come back...

So i decided to pull the plugs out again to see what the mixture was like..
anyways the 2 middle ones were perfect while the 1 and 4 plugs were
    running very rich...

Now because the second coilpack fires the 1 and 4 plugs could that be on
its way out? or could it be a fuel/carby problem?

ahh i have same problem iam sure its a carb problem not the coil because the coils give electricity abnormal electiricty never leads to blacken the spark plugs its combustion mixture problems means u must balance the carbs only the 1_4 and keep the rest if ur not facing problems from them but now i want to ask u its my turn now <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> mine sparks are getting blacken and destroyed they are not lasting for long time at all and iam brining the original sparks and iam sure its carbs problems but exactly i dont know what to do i must lower the fuel amount or keep the fuel amount as it is but make the air amount higher ?? but everything in the bike is running normally it turn on simply from the first start if its cold or hot the same so what do u think i should do for balcken sparks alot ?

I would also go for a carb problem. Could be some thing simple like the float levels are too high on 1 & 4

hmmm...well after talking to a guy at a wrecker it seems the fzr250's
were actually designed to run 1 and 4 richer....something to do with the
inner 2 cylinders getting more cooling from the air than the sides /shrugs..

but anyway ...yeh he said the symptons are more pronounced in colder
weather and in summer it wouldn't happen as bad....

i'll see later on when i get the carbs cleaned and balanced properly...

On another note where is the best place to get a clutch rebuild kit as i think
mine is on its way out...price would be cool too...

The two inner carbs have different jet sizes to the others but not sure of the exact reason....
