    Hello people.

I own the ZS250GS and got a noise at the motor like something loose inside. it sound hardest in idle and cold, otherwise i noticed that the camshaft has some signs of wear, because I can not adjust properly the valves, so I thing the anterior owner run the bike w/ out oil.[IMG]
wen I bought they have not the noise, (or only a little).

Is my first bike in 30 years, I bought it cheap ($300.00) with the tank full[IMG]. and I spend $200.00 more replacing back shock (used), brake cylinder, spray paint, ignition coil and some durabond.
I really enjoy this project, but I am a little worry about this noise, is not good. I really want to find any relatively easy solution, but I start to loos my illusion at this project. Well, still having some hope.
    There some pics.

    And...the Noise:

Well, somebody can help me to identify this noise?
I am sure is in the engine, and look to be at the crankcase or something.
I replaced oil and check the chain tensioner, and the cylinder head are oiled.

    Welcome.
Sounds drastic, like the big end bearing has gone. You can buy whole new Zongshen engines pretty cheaply from the people who import the bikes. Might be your cheapest option rather than trying to rebuild it.

Sounds like a crankshaft bearing has given up, maybe hunt around some import bike places and see what they have as a replacement.

    Thanks people f your help.
There are not importers of this bike at this country anymore, so the unique possibility that I found are this Page at china:
    http://www.taobao.com/market/global/index_new.php
And any transaction need be done with intermediary agent.
But there are the engine of the yamaha XT200 TW200 that is very similar. And bearings, sealers, gaskets.....those are standard stuff.
I'm gona open it and see whats wrong, and pics everything, to me look exciting. Plus, the noise appear only in Idle, is not the classic tac, tac, tac of the crankshaft, resemble something about camshaft failure. the tensioner are ok, but I feel strange the valves aperture, cannot regulate properly.

Standard motors made of Chinesium - cheap, plentiful, and when something breaks you can never find parts. Mechanics will shoo you away, and dealer's won't help

just did a quick google search and looks to be a large availability of parts. Zongshen sell over 1 million bikes a year so parts should not be that much of a drama.

methinks new cylinder head cheaper than machine shop. lookslike motor ran out of oil or oil line blocked. look at wreckers or total motor replacement.lots of zongshen engines about.
