Doing some maintenance like changing the oil and filter can be rewarding and save some bucks, it isn't that difficult really. Once you have removed the bung and drained the oil and removed the filter it's time to refill. Most bikes have the cc printed on the casing near the small oval glass that shows you the level. Heres my tip: always put about 100cc less than what is stated, that way you will never overfill which can cause bigger problems. Start the engine and run it for a minute or so, with the engine off check the glass, if the oil is 3/4 up your mission is complete, if its just over half way add a little more. Remember, it's easier to add a little than to subtract. Enjoy the ride    Phil

Quick tip, warm the oil up first so that it runs more freely, beware of overdoing it as it can get quite hot.
Always a good idea to clean the area around the drain plug before undoing it to prevent contamination.
Happy spannering................talking of which, some semi-decent quality ones will prevent damage to fasteners and knuckles.
