Its all good after some quick research I found out the current can is a ROO racing carbon fiber can and I should either check if the jetting was previously done or do it. Is rejetting a massivly hard task?
I usually run 105's across all 4 carbs with a straight through pipe I get mine here : http://www.motorcyclespareswarehous...ll-round/products/keihin-main-jet-small-round
forget the straight pipe question, i googled it =p. But wouldn't that be loud as all fk? also with the straight pipe thing, are u just removing the muffler and leaving it like that or do u weld on a same diameter pipe?
also asssssummming a unifilter air filter was put in and the small air filter (whatever the deal is with that) was replace with foam (sponge foam maybe?) would the stock 1 3/4 winds on the air/fuel pilot screws need to be changed? ANNNND the big question, in your honest opinion, is any of this even really worth it?
On a side note, for track days what tyres would one put on a cbr250rr? and would these tyres make riding in the rain commuting more dangerous? I imagine suspension would pretty much be put the rear pre load to 7 and put 15 oil in front forks with 2 20cent coins in each fork?
To properly rejet a bike you need a dyno. It's as simple as that, especially when you start changing filters, intakes exhausts etc. I was gonna mod up my MC22 but most people can agree that it's not really worth it (I mean, unless you two actually racing but they're 25 year old bikes, keep that in mind and NOT performance bred like the NSR was). I mean, you can make more power but it isn't massive. If you're really after a bit more power but similar handling, get a CBR400RR. As for tyres, if they're not slicks and street legal, then they can handle rain fine. And a straight through pipe is basically no baffle and they are louder. A longer muffler is quieter than a shorter one. I have the Musari (Screaming Demon) exhaust on mine with the baffle but it's sometimes fun to remove it. Definitely sounds better but I prefer not to annoy my neighbours since I used to come home late.
Don't rip guts out of exhaust they like the back pressure helps with hp Kicker man right dyno tune to get right as u see your fuel air ratio mine has been done and runs perfect Tyres well how long u got lol Most guys who race or do track days use Pirelli super corsa they sticky as and fine on the road but heard not great in wet I just got a set of continental sport attack 2 apparently sticky as well but gear in wet weather both of these are great tyres for track and road well do report on sport attacks after next race mate
