just wondering if the two marks while doing the cam timing have to be spot on as i could only get one perfect the other was just a bit before and changing it a tooth made it a bit in front couldn't get them both perfect if this is ok which one should i set to perect exhust or inlet?
Keep at it until they both line up. It can be done. Don't for one second think that near enough is good enough with this process.
I'm going to assume you've lined up the exhaust cam first as the service manual tells you to. From there you need to line up the intake cam, then turn the engine over by hand to allow the cam chain to be tensioned. Once the cam chain is at proper tension they should both line up perfectly.
