Hi all and happy new year.

Sold the across for a bargain price (for the buyer) but good luck to him......Have a new project, got the bug....'80 cb750 that is being cafe'd in the shed and was wondering if anyone else on the site was into this style of re-working motorcycles.

Just tonight i'm thinking of how to mount the seat that i'm crafting.....Easiest way would be to drill and tap 6mm holes into the frame (3 each side) but thought that might be illegal in australia.....Hard to tell from the internet because elsewhere you can "cut and shut" just about anything and still ride legally.

Any thoughts.......Looking forward to a ride out and meeting people face to face but already have a regular ride on the last sunday of the month......Cheers all.

hey jonny from what i understand if you alter or change anything from  a standard bike it has to be complianced by qld transport engineer even if its just a seat  most cafe racer are registered as a standard bike and then cafe race styled hope this helps
