where's the fuel comming out? is it the fuel pump itself, or has one of the connecting hoses just come loose? Seems a bit strange that it would just start pissing out fuel...

it is possible to remove the fuel pump (or bypass) and simply run on 'gravity fed' fuel. This is a good temporary solution, but not an ideal long term. Just to note - if running on gravity fed fuel you will only use the top 3/4 of the tank (approx) - so be sure to keep it topped up as you won't have the same mileage/tank!

edit: agreed with casso though too. It is strange...

****, is that true about the gravity feed meaning you only use the top 3/4 of tank? Damn, that's why my mileage is so bad!! I'm sure mine's only grav feed, I htink the importer took out the fuel pump...and also why it runs rich...

    BUMP

When i bought my project bike it never had a fuel pump

I went to the wreckers and the FZR there doesen't have a fuel pump...

He offered me a ZX600 97 Model fuel pump for like 80 Bucks....

is that the way to go... how easy is it to install

if someone can help me out that'd be great... hopefully i won't have to make a new thread

so basiclly, i need to know... will a ZX600 fuel pump work work... and how do i connect it to the power so it works... some friends of mine have hooked neons up to there power so i'll trust them to do this. i just need a idea of what i'm looking at

    Regards Indy
