Bike pulling more revs to go 100 km/h

    As for hitting teh bump and a jump in revs - could also be due to unweighting the bike and the rear tire actually being allowed to spin faster than the speed the bike is going at. I presume that as soon as you settle again the revs settle as well?

    Another factor that will effect rev / speed - going around a corner. Effectively you reduce the overall gear/tire ratio because when you are leaned into a corner the tire size is effectively smaller. So even if your speedo reads 60 before, and it is reading 60 while you are in the middle of a corner, you have actually lost some speed. This is why it is necessary to slightly increase the throttle to maintain corner speed and to have a good drive out of a corner.
