Chain came off, pulled over and get off the bike, oil pissed out, haven't checked it out yet, where could it have come from?
First place I would look is behind the front sprocket cover .... chain may have chewed into the engine casing or the sprocket has come off and done the same.
It whould be the crank case seal easy fix common problem with hyo 2hr job about $60 in parts goodluck
Had a relative come take a look, I don't understand what the oil problem was (I'm a noob) but he said it's easily fixed, was caused by my old warn out chain and sprocket finally giving up, hopefully be back on the road in the next week! Lucky I didn't drop the bike as it happened or I'd be spewing!
Yea definately lucky u stayed upright ! easily fixed sounds good ..... if you find out what the oil thing was or what was fixed we would be interested to know
It could be due to chain tension or sprocket that needs replacement. Oil might came from a broken shaft seal.
Sounds like you were lucky in every respect. Countershaft seal is a cheap fix. I had a chain come off on an old DR at the top end of Moreton Island once and punched a hole in the clutch cover case. Major irritation. Ever since I've run case savers on my dirt bikes and checked chain tension a lot more frequently.
I would agree with Fox, the part it self is cheap and its a pretty easy fix. Just make sure to adjust and inspect your chain and regularly, that would be before and after riding to avoid this thing to happen again.
