all batteriesa are not equal given same amp hour ratings. bought a new 9ah battery 2 weeks ago and not up to the job...got a motobatt battery delivered today and is magic. equivilant to a yxt9-bs but theoretically 150 cca and tested 10 times and no lag each time. am extremely impressed.am putting the other brand in another bike and should be ok there but the motobatt is in the daily ride.

I planned to buy a Motobatt for my bike a few weeks back but 2 dealers here had given them the flick (including the Yammy dealer) as there had been faulty ones and the supplier or distributor wouldnt replace them...

I ended up with one of these http://www.ssbpowersport.com.au/Home.aspx ....which we matched up to the original specs (and AGM),as the recommended replacement wasnt available due to the Fizzer being a grey import.
Was only $79.50 and Ive cranked my bike over a hundred times and tested lights, blinkers etc and havnt ridden it enough to recharge but its still working just fine :thumb_ups:

Waiting for my Ballistic Evo2 battery to arrive.
Very light and high tech Lithium.
My friend says they have a good reputation.

If they perform as good as they look  :icon_scratch: .... and with a name like Ballistic Evo u cant go wrong!  ;D

I wish I had spent more time researching the latest offerings in batteries but I needed one "in a hurry" at the time

You get what you pay for with batteries, the cheapies coming from China probably won't last as long as some from other countries. Having said that you can get away with the budget ones. Past experience has shown that I achieved 6 years of life out of the Yuasa that Honda put in my CBR1100, a great run in anyones book. However a new one from Honda was akin to a kings ransom, I took a cheaper route.
I bought a motobatt a few years back for my Suzuki X7 project, considering the length of time that the bike has not run, the green neutral light still comes on to this date, can't complain. Guess it comes down to how deep are your pockets, shopping around is still vital.

with a lot of motobatts now a free solid state charger is included and wires can be connected to the battery and routed for the trickle charger to be connected when left unused.

    Hey risky
Great idea, motobatt seemed to come up with many good ideas. Even the sizes of the batteries so as to cater for many different makes. Innovative:thumb_ups:

    Hey Mark
Hadn't looked into the lithium battery prior. First impression is good for your racing bikes as weight saving is substantial lower. Also liked the 3 year warranty, and of course the size which is much smaller and therefore able to fit a wide range of bikes. The only negative that I can see is the price, to some that may well be on the higher end of the scale. I like the versatily of the battery, obviously a fine product.:thumb_ups:
