    Hey guys,

One incorrectly purchased CDI up for sale.

    I have a GSF250 (R) which takes the 32900-11D10.

Hmm... does this suit the GSF250P? If so, would you be interested in a swap for an aftermarket one?

    Hey Stu,

This CDI won't suit the GSF250P.

The GSF250P takes a 32900-11D10 (same as my bike!). I've actually purchased an aftermarket CDI myself- still being shipped; where'd you source yours from?

I actually got mine with the bike. I'm in the process of lapping valves (and I found a bent one $%&*%) so the head is off. But I've been over all the electrics and they seem fine.

The catch is the 250P is the restricted version, the aftermarket CDI I have is unrestricted. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but I have had the bike running with it on there (albeit it doesn't like to run easily due to the low compression issues I am sorting out).

Yeah ive been reading through the story of your bike actually! Did both CDIs work in your bike? Notice any differences between the two if so?

I've actually never had the original CDI. COuldn't find one for the life of me and wasn't prepared to part with $250 as an experiment. So I haven't tested both. Either way, we just about got the bike running even with low compression and it was starting to build up pressure with the new rings etc and it wanted to go so although I doubted the CDI at first I'm a little more confident that it may be OK.

I think the challenge is (being a restricted version) and the unrestricted CDI is that the timing is either lagging too much or is too advanced. I get the feeling we may not be running with exact manufacturers spec but the guy I am working with on it knows engines very well and he's confident we'll have her going in no time. I'm a little more skeptical but there's always hope, right?

    Hi there
Do you still have this CDI, or have you sold it?
