The Australian Historic Road Racing Championships are on November 16th to 19th at Sydney Motorsport Park (Eastern Creek).

There will be hundreds of bikes from the 60s, 70s and 80s competing.
This event and the Island Classic have a greater variety of racing machinery than you will see and hear anywhere else.
You can walk the pits and talk to the racers. I will have a pit straight garage. Please come and say hello.

Watch for me on the Penrite Oils number 35 Yamaha RD250LC and Yamaha TZR250.

I was going to post when some action photos show up but they are a bit slow coming.
    Qualified well on a damp/wet track. 2nd P5 250, 4nd P5 350 and 2nd P6 250.
On RD250LC bent the calliper bracket so had to pump the lever for each corner
and the front wheel weights kept on flying off causing massive juddering
    but finished 7th out of 19 in P5 250 and 9th out of 25 in P5 350.
On TZR250 I had electrical problems so my best finish was 6th out of 13.
But it did show me what an excellent bike it will be when it is sorted.

    Hey mboddy

Good to hear from you, it had been over a few weeks since the race and hadn't heard a word. Last week end I contemplated touching base with you and seek some info on your outing. Dawned on me that perhaps it hadn't been a good time, and asking question might not be a greatest resolve.  :icon_scratch:
Well, sounds like you performed admirably and the photos are great.
Chris and I gave serious consideration to coming down, schedules just didn't allow.
Would love to have seen some of the bikes, just enjoy the atmosphere and take it all in.
Well I guess there is always next year.
Thanks again for sharing the races and the pictures are great, Well done

Thanks Phil. You will both have to make it to the Barry Sheene Festival of Speed in March then.
I didn't take many photos because I thought a lot would turn up.
But here is one I took that shows the diversity of the bikes there.

Looks a little damp but sounds like you had a good time eventhough the bike is not up to scratch. You should have a ball when you get every thing the way you want.

Barry sheene sounds like a lot of fun may have to try and make that one as well
