I read a thread that was talking about a 3ln with a restricter plate in the intake boot connecting the carbs and the intake manifolds. This restricted the bike to 33 bhp. Does anyone know if the 2kr also has this restricter plate? I can tell that the intake boots are already dry-rotted so I don't want to fiddle with the carbs if not necessary. Thanks, Scotty
First take the tank off, then remove the airbox. You can then open the throttle fully and gently lift the slide up. Shine a light in there and see if there is any webbing or half-moon shaped restrictors on/in the intake boots. The carbs will have to come off to de-restrict it if it is restricted. Hope this helps.
