Hi, all i have an annoying air leak on my Zxr 250 started off thinking it was the carb boots. changed them and still have a leak somewhere in that area, as when i spray carb cleaner in the area the idle rockets up and the idle is very up and down wont stay in one spot, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Hi mate

Is it bogging down between 6-8k rpm? If so it could be seals that adjoin the carbs.

Do you have the gaskets between the airbox and the carbs ?

Hmmm have you cleaned the carbs and jets lately? Could be a small blockage in the pilot jets, to my knowledge a vacuum leak shouldn't ruin idling so much.... Kiffsta thoughts??

    Alternatively

Running rich possibly? Does it dip below idle before rising again?

yeah, there is gaskets there its from the other side where iv been spraying the carb cleaner like almost on that big thick black gasket on the head (sorry im not sure what its called)

the idle sorta sways back and forth under 2000 rpm like it wont stay in one spot goes up and down constantly
