    Hello all,

I am wanting to purchase a purple ZZR250 for my partner (she loves them), and I am looking for advice on what I need to be looking for? I am looking to spend between $1,500 to $2,500

So hit me with everything, the more info the better!

I have a honda ST1100 myself, so am well versed in looking after older bikes.

    Cheers

    Streak

Theres a general "what to look for" here......
    http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/what-to-look-for-when-buying-a-used-motorcycle.136/

Looks in pretty good shape this one but sadly a bit far from u (you are in Brisbane?)
Of course with older bikes, the maintenance schedule under the covers from the previous owners is something to look at

Yea that one looks good in the pics.....as I linked above he has it for $2600 on gumtree and only $2000 on bikesales . .... could be a great buy with a bit of negotiating if hes desperate to sell :thumb_ups:

The hardest thing is finding something local but if u have "contacts" everywhere then that makes it far easier! :D ..... looks like a great club u have there.

    keep us updated!

    cheers mate

Heres the basic rego info for that bike....

I like the ZZR, i had one for abit and it was the easiest bike to ride, I know your working to a budget of $2500 max, but dont rule out a Ninja EX250, I have seen the values on the ex250 plummit since the Ninja 300 was released.

Here is one for $3500 http://www.boostclassifieds.com.au/advert/2217502-2010-Kawasaki-Ninja-250r-for-Sale.html , and another for $3800 negotiable. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/sunnybank-hills/motorcycles/kawasaki-ninja-ex250-2008/1021549036

The resale on the ex250 will be far greater than the ZZR

its a tough time to sell a bike at the moment, maybe try the old, I have $2500 cash in my pocket :) If you dont ask, you dont get....

No good kiffsta, she wanted a purple one. Would have saved STreak a lot of beer for the favors he is using up to get it to QLD.
