Hello all, I am wanting to purchase a purple ZZR250 for my partner (she loves them), and I am looking for advice on what I need to be looking for? I am looking to spend between $1,500 to $2,500 So hit me with everything, the more info the better! I have a honda ST1100 myself, so am well versed in looking after older bikes. Cheers Streak
Theres a general "what to look for" here...... http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/what-to-look-for-when-buying-a-used-motorcycle.136/ Looks in pretty good shape this one but sadly a bit far from u (you are in Brisbane?) Of course with older bikes, the maintenance schedule under the covers from the previous owners is something to look at http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/amba...l-zzr-250-1993-kawasaki-motorcycle/1022132867 Looks like they are all in NSW ... http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/mayfield-east/motorcycles/1993-kawasaki-zzr-250/1021367539 http://www.bikesales.com.au/private...ial&__Ntk=BikeAll&__Nne=15&__sid=13F70AE4F26A
Thanks for the info mate, I am lucky I help run a motorcycle club myself www.ozstoc.com.au (Australian Honda ST Owners Club) so I have a good network of people to look at bikes for me and pick up and stuff....take a look if you want to. I have one of our members inspecting the bike below for me on Saturday http://www.bikesales.com.au/private...1626 1429 1626 1428 4294967215 4294965445 680
Yea that one looks good in the pics.....as I linked above he has it for $2600 on gumtree and only $2000 on bikesales . .... could be a great buy with a bit of negotiating if hes desperate to sell The hardest thing is finding something local but if u have "contacts" everywhere then that makes it far easier! ..... looks like a great club u have there. keep us updated! cheers mate Heres the basic rego info for that bike....
I like the ZZR, i had one for abit and it was the easiest bike to ride, I know your working to a budget of $2500 max, but dont rule out a Ninja EX250, I have seen the values on the ex250 plummit since the Ninja 300 was released. Here is one for $3500 http://www.boostclassifieds.com.au/advert/2217502-2010-Kawasaki-Ninja-250r-for-Sale.html , and another for $3800 negotiable. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/sunnybank-hills/motorcycles/kawasaki-ninja-ex250-2008/1021549036 The resale on the ex250 will be far greater than the ZZR its a tough time to sell a bike at the moment, maybe try the old, I have $2500 cash in my pocket If you dont ask, you dont get....
Another one in Bundy for $3100 http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/qunaba/motorcycles/2008-kawasaki-ninja-250cc/1021458425 http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Autom...oDetail&StartImage=IMG_0540.JPG&AutoPlay=true Looks like a clean one on Trading Post - http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Autom...oDetail&StartImage=IMG_0540.JPG&AutoPlay=true

No good kiffsta, she wanted a purple one. Would have saved STreak a lot of beer for the favors he is using up to get it to QLD.
