    Hi

New to the forum but have had a good read over a few topics - recently picked up a 89 3ln1 which I've been doing a little work on with some friends, so far, the forks, brake fluids (and checked brakes over, lots on the pads), media blasted the headers to address the deterioration (surface rust etc) and got the exup working again as some of the bigger jobs on it to date

Need to do the spark plugs still (getting them off trademe due to being in NZ) - cr8eix

But oil - which one do most people use here? I tend to use castrol on most things, the gp1 stuff ok? If not, I'm happy to go to another one if people have had better experiences with others. I have a new oil filter to go in when I get the oil itself...

Air filter - where can I get one for a half decent price? Yamaha dealer here in Christchurch only has the OEM one for $145 and I can't find an after market one - on ebay they're being sold as 39mm ie

Will this be ok or should I go for the standard paper type ones? If so, where can I get these?

Fuel filter? Still has the original one in by the looks of it, a good replacement one?

Getting the carbs redone; gaskets, o rings and needles plus seats due to a fuel leak, plus balanced and valve clearances done all at once by someone who knows what they're doing (asking around people here for a good motorbike mechanic, if anyone on here has ideas?)

    Worth doing lead caps too?

Other than that, chain and sprockets are good from what I can see, tyres are fine, fuel pump goes and the bike actually runs quite well.

Anything would be great, if I've missed things, let me know..

    Thanks
    Isaac
