Hi I have picked up a 2015 Ninja 300 ABS and have been going over the bike so as to order the bits and pieces to make it 100%. The entire exhaust has been replaced with an aftermarket system and I believe they have removed the oxygen sensor, as it has been plugged up. I am looking at getting a standard exhaust and notice that these all have oxygen sensors. I had a quick look in the service manual and the point where it plugs into does not seem to be there. I will remove the fairing tomorrow and see if its been tucked up somewhere. According to the Service manual some bikes do not have the oxygen sensor is this the case in Australia? In the meantime have ordered tyres and other bits and pieces that I feel need replacing. Need to find and exhaust and muffler next.
The aftermarket exhaust is very loud but seems really well made so I will probably sell it.

The connector will be tucked somewhere. I haven't done an O2 sensor on a Ninja 300 but on other bikes they are usually somewhere easily accessible on either side of the engine or near the swingarm mount.

If you want I can check the Ninja 300 factory manual at work tomorrow.

A new O2 sensor is about $360 from Kawasaki. Might be cheaper to find someone selling a whole standard system or headers with the O2 sensor still attached to it.

I know where the connector is meant to be, but its not there thats why I think its been tucked somewhere. I have downloaded the workshop manual. I have found a second hand exhaust header with sensor and cat for $140.00 plus $40 delivery which seems fair. I just find it interesting that the workshop manual refers to the O2 sensor as (where fitted) everywhere.

    Thanks for the reply

In that case, you'll have to eyeball the main harness and sub-harnesses for the connector. They are usually a square female 4 pin.

Thats the plan, need to take the fairing off first.

It does not have an Oxygen sensor, connections on engine control unit that are for oxygen sensor are blank.
