I hope to buggery you changed the tyres (both) regardless of tread depth. After sitting around un-used for 2 years they've probably 'gone off' and/or severely warped.

Other than that, looks like its a pretty good bike.
Try getting some various grade sandpaper onto that can to polish it up and get some of the scratches out.

But hey, enjoy.
Hope to see you along on some ride days.

PS. Not dissing FZR250.com but go check out Netrider.org; theres rides organised around Melbourne pretty much atleast 1 every weekend; aswell as coffee @ southbank on friday nights.

koma, you cant really compare us to netrider.... they have slightly more members than fzr250.com ... just a few more ... we only have just over 200 ... so organising things like that are much easier on forums like netriders, overclockers or ORS with huge numbers of members...

theres no reason why we cant have more frequent meets... its just that there will be about 5 people there...

colame, i agree with koma on the tyres... if youre not gonna get them changed, at least get them checked out i reckon...

If you resized you photo's they would be a helluva lot easier to look at
Since the bike has been sitting so long, get it serviced ASAP, they don't like to sit at all

Yep they don't like to sit. I found that out.
Did a full service my self. Ripped the carbis apart (could only get bowl 1 and 2 off, F***** screws) runs like a dream now.
Was very lucky, its just a good bike.

Pix is fixed.

If the screws are done up real tight and wont come out, a trick is to get a punch with a concave! head. Put it on top of the screw head and give it a good hit with a hammer then it will come out 8 out of ten times for me. It’s the only way mine came out when I cleaned my carbs and replaced my seals. I went and got a new set of screws and only cost me 70cents.

Could also use an impact driver! One of my favourite tools...

Yeah i have one but it is old school and is too big to fit on the small screw head and the chuck isnt a spinning one so it only takes special bits. but if you have one use it, if not no need to go and buy one right away. They do come in handy tho.
