1991 ZXR250 oil in stator cover

    Hi I got a 1991 zxr250 when I removed the stator cover a hole bunch of oil leaked out,
    Im just wondering if it sould have oil in there? or is it ment to be dry?

    Its meant to be wet, I noticed this on my first ZXR and thought I had blown a seal, it is however perfectly normal.

    thanks for the reply chris, I thought its was a seal too, so just to confirm it did pour out quite a bit of oil is that normal?
    I say it lost about 500ml at least,
