    Does the 1990 FZR250r have a rev limiter?
    I'm looking at one which has lost the needle on the tacho, which would be a bit worrying if it didn't stop you revving the engine at the redline.
    What are the other FZR250's like in this regard?
    cheers

    you'll probably run into the problem of not revving the fzr250 enough without a tacho initially! It takes a while to realise just how far you can (and sometimes should) actually rev it.

    As for rev limiter - don't know (but doubt it).

    Yep, sure does... well, my 1991 model does, so I guess the 90 model would have one. I think it kicks in at 1000rpm past the start of redline, so approx 19500 rpm? somewhere around there anyway.

    How did the needle get broken anyway? Did she go down the road?

    Im not sure what happened to the needle, the bloke who owns it reckons it was gone when he bought it originally.
    It doesn't look like its been dropped either <!-- s:-? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_Eyecrazy.gif" alt=":-?" title="Eye Crazy" /><!-- s:-? -->

    Just get a replacement needle from any other tacho/speedo dial of a similar size.
    Yes, AFAIK the rev limiter kicks in at 19000-19750 rpm depending on the model ( i believe the later 3LN-#'s have a lower rev limiter due to a varied power output curve).

    My 2kr appears to have rev limiter - I hit it once in low gear because I was a bit slow in changing up.
