  • The first bike I bought in Australia and my first 250cc bike, a blue honda babyblade. Sold it only after a month or two since then due to financial problem. Still the best bike I have owned so far

Funny story, I bought her as a non runner but there wasn't anything wrong with her. All that she needed was a decent service with oil change, spark plug change and oil, fuel draining from the tank and a new battery. So I attempted the service myself and made a big mess out of it. I'm sure some long time members of this forum will remember the little incident that took place when I changed my spark plugs:headbang:

Instead of using a long 3'8'' spark plug socket, I used the shorter one because I couldn't get the long one into the spark plug chamber. Well the short one isn't exactly designed to go into deep places, so it came loose from the extension and got stuck down the chamber. Eventually I had to pay some mechanic to take it out for me for $60. That was when we found out that when I stuffed the short socket in, I damaged the ceramic bit of the spark plug and most of the ceramic pieces were stuck at the bottom of the chamber.

The ceramic bits stuck at the bottom eventually led to bent valve when the bike was started, which meant engine work was in order. Mike at Capalaba Motorcycle was kind enough to do the repair for me at cheap rate at that time and that ended my first bike repair adventure.

    I would try it again!!!!!:superman:
