    ahaha fluffy.
    "Come and feel how soft it's underbelly is.."

    Our family calls mums' car "chitebox" - does that count as a name?

    Oh, and the only bike I've dropped was an old green postie bike variant. When I was about 10.
    ... And my pushbike a few times going over jumps.

    I blame me for posting in this thread, cos it jinxed me!

    Dropped it yesterday, it was so hot in the garage I must have lost my concentration. I straddled the bike to put the airbox on, and after the gruelling 30-minute procedure, I let the bike down, but the stand was up!

    D'OH!

    As some would know, when you push a bike down for it to rest on its stand, and it isn't there, you can't reverse the momentum. So I just jumped clear and picked it up right away. No damage done (maybe a scratched mirror) as the bike was naked after all.. Might consider getting a proper stand tho, and not sweating it out in the garage for that long.

    Front and Rear stands are Sooooooo nice.

    I have the rear that will lift via the swingarm or by swingarm spools and the front that lifts from under the bottom of the forks.

    I'd like to get the front stand that lifts from the steering head instead.

    I go the sophisticated option of 2 blocks of wood to chock up the rear swingarm; dodgey - yes, but until i manage to hunt down a cheap rear paddock stand then it'll have to do.

    Sorry to hear about the drop, but atleast it was nekkid. <!-- s:cool: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt=":cool:" title="Cool" /><!-- s:cool: -->

    this should go into a new thred but..

    I had some very good plans made for the rear stand... so that I could just take them down to the engenirring shop and have the stands made... I had the engennirng shop all sorted out as well as powder coating place...

    My PC died and I lost the plans!!

    But fear not!! I'm working on the plans (getting them off some one else) as I typeo!!
