is the pilot screw the one that goes into carburette no2 (the flat head) if so do i need to remove the carbs off the rack to adjust it and how does this screw effect the carbs seeming it only goes into one carb and doesnt seem to go anywhere that important id really appreciate ur guys response
Are you talking about the idle screw? I am not sure where it is on 3ln models, but on the 2kr model it is right in the middle of the engine block, just below the carbies. Should be able to reach in there with your hand (watch if bike is running thought and hot - can burn hand on engine as it is a tight fit)
no im talking about the pilot screw its supposedto be 3 - 360 degree turns from the right thanx for ur help any way
pilot air screw The pilot air screws are usually under a little plug on the intake side of the venturi...you'll have to drill out that plug an take a screw and pull out the plug and there you will find the adjuster screw under there...be carefull drilling out the plug. And by the way ... don't tighten them at ALL when you turn it all the way in to count turns as you will break the taper on the screw. Turning the screw out richens and turning in leans the mixture Hope this helps Jim
