I know it's not a 250, but today my Honda ST1100 finished its life with me with a BBQ.
I filled the tank in town (28Lt) and rode 10Km out of town to a mates place. When I pulled up I smelt fuel so shut off the engine and got off and down on my knees to have a look when WOOF. I rolled away from the bike and hobbled to the shed where my racing car had an extingushier, but by the time I unlocked the shed and got the bottle out and back to the door of the shed it was too late for the extingushier. The flames from the fuel were going 4+ metres into the air. As you can see it is totally gone.
(Note to mods, there is no icon for tears.)

I still had my helmet on when it went up but I am still a bit burnt on the face and singed my beard. Other wise ok, just very upset, I liked this bike.

Yes, dealing with insurance now. Still doesn't make it any easier.
The assessor wants it brought to town. The bloke going to pick it up said he would bring his bike trailer, told him he needed a shovel.

    Thanks for the kind thoughts.
I've been awake half the night thinking about it. Still very upset. Face has lost a lot of the redness, had beard trim.
Insurance coming to 'scrape' it up today.
