Today I haven't done anything... But over the last five or so months I have been building an exhaust and in take for my new race bike. It's a twin turbo fuel injected fzr250
Test ride #2 Lubed the chain, upped the tyre pressures and swapped out the carbys .......... WOOHOOO ! went like a real bike The other punters only had 4HP
Nice! Could all your problems be how out of sync your set of carbs are? As you had them apart did you bench sync the butterflies?
Funny u should say that .... Im just uploading a vid to show exactly that ..... I didnt bench them but tried to use the carb sync tool .... but it was running too eratic to get anywhere ..... but will be doing all that now they are off the bike. http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/my-fizzer.872/page-33#post-17843
I think that was part of the problem with mine. I'm going to double check the butterflies when I up the pilot screws by 1/4 turn.
i like the twin turbo fzr but bit of a concern the size of the yamaha bearings.good to se you had a different lift today grey. sanded the xzr tank where bogged and gave a touch up of spraycan yellow. not right colour i know but a temporary. took battery off charger and it settled to 12.9 volts.went to a preview of an auction where a xvs650 yammie going up[repo].2012 model/. might be interested if cheap, like under2k
My single turbo fzr starts to make boost at 14k. I will def post a vidio of her when I have it running. Hopefully will hear it by the end of March. I have a Facebook page on my race bikes. Check it out. Red Cup Racing
Replaced the GPX brake fluid in the front and rear, bled and tested. Pretty much all I can be bothered with today, too hot.
So you put the photos in upside down because you thought that because we are on the bottom of the world that is how we look at things?
Checked the slide clips and seen they need replacing. Also found I didnt tighten the clamps holding the carbie to inlet boots. No wonder why shes been running like a choking dog. Should start a dumb ass mechanical cockups thread
