Check the fuel line all the way back to the tank for any blockages.

rathawk is turning into a fun project. supertrapp cap was popped out when I bought it. Wanted to fix it correctly and 3 of the nuts welded inside the end cap decided to part ways with the end cap. Cut the heads off to get the cap off, but now can't get the internal part of the cap out to fix the broken welds. She'll run fine with whats left, and may add to the `rat`, but I'd fix this part right and not have to worry about my exhaust falling apart while hooning down the road. I've tried a slide hammer, heat, and even split the weld going down the pipe just passed the cap in an attempt to get that part out and it hasn't budged. Appears to be welded to the perforated pipe in the exhaust, so I'm assuming the perf pipe will come out with it if I can ever get it to move.

Exhaust is clear yes, air filter element looks clear and new. I’ve since found out of the 4 coils I have only 1 is within spec. Also the CDI unit is showing a short circuit.

Took the cover off and gave my FZR a pat today.

"Soon my child" I told it as I wiped a tear from my eye.

"Soon the postal service will get their sh*t together.. Then we can be free"

Wondering if 98 octane fuel on my xjr400 is suitable. Any thoughts

Wont hurt it but does it need it? I find no difference between 98 and 95 (other than the price) but two of my bikes run better on 95 and others run better on 91. Try it and see if your bike likes it.

Well not necessarily the Bike but certainly adds to the Bike shed usabilty.
I decided to give Elon Musk some of my hard earned cash and signed up for Starlink.... only about $10 more a month than I pay now plus I got the hardware at 50% off (probably isnt worth that much anyway) and the first 2 months free...
If these speeds are anything to go by it was well worth it... on NBN FTN we average between 15 and 40 MBPS...

It's fantastic for rural use in my experience, and you poor aussies with your NBN .. May not be an issue with your area, but if you get heavy rain it does degrade the signal. Think satellite TV - "Rain Fade".

So turns out I have 0 compression on cylinder no.2 - so will be doing valve clearances tomorrow and see I go from there.

So I was going through valve clearances this afternoon and no.2 exhaust valve(1of) was being held way open. After rotating the crank a while checking all clearances it came right - I suspect dirt/debris/carbon to be holding it open - another compression test showed 115psi.
Lucky as I was about to pull the head off.
I found all exhaust clearances to be .30mm and all(most) intake clearances to be .10mm
Do you guys know what they should be? what are the Fzr250 clearances just as an idea

Also can anyone help me ensure I’ve got my coils and leads the right way round - I suspect they should be the same as FZRs - reason I ask is I’ve got 4 coils and while changing one out for another ive lost track as to which one goes where. Also have a very weak spark now

Finally got around to fitting up my Quadlock and running the cable from the Triumph USB connection under the seat up to the Quadlock.
Beats having to have the phone in my pocket and also means I can operate the garage door from my phone as well :)

Another work bike. This 2010 R1 was in because it was making an almighty racket on startup and had horrible rattles below 3,000RPM.

One timing chain/tensioner, clutch basket, plates, and springs later it sounds like a new bike.

I have a video of basket rattling which I will have to upload from home. Just imagine a Ducati dry clutch when shaking the old basket in your hands.

Look clean to me, I think the phrase you're looking for is organised chaos.
    Where's the problem?

First ride with the 3d printed tail tidy.
Not as practical, less fender at the back, but damn I love how it looks.

That looks to be a fairly sizable printed part, or is it in multiple pieces.

Bigger than my first printer could do in one go, but that was the cheap aldi one. New printer is a Ender 3 V2, with print bed 220 x 220 mm2.

BTW if anyone finds a file they want printed for their bike feel free to message me, happy to do that.

Took my MC-19 to the local Radwood show. More of a car oriented event but there were some cool bikes there. Fun show, lots of cool stuff.
