I think something that we overlook is that the cost of manufacturing them in Indonesia would be so much lower than Japan that it can be viable again.

I find hard to comprehend why Kawasaki would be contemplating building a 4 cylinder 250cc motorcycle in this era. All the trends are heading in the opposite direction due to rising cost ie. fuel and so on. They have a great bike in the Ninja 300 which is a twin cylinder machine. The cost of building a 4 cylinder bike would be substantially higher than lets say a Honda cbr250 single cylinder machine and running cost would increase accordingly, so why do it???
Think Kawasaki would have to have an extremely sound business case to get the go ahead, feel certain that the sub continent would be the prime target market for such an undertaking. Without doubt the figures would be crunched on many levels at Kawasaki HQ to grant the OK for this project.
I, for one would love to hear an affirmative statement granting the (go ahead) as would many members here on the forum, time will tell!

Maybe they realize theres actually people out there that want a 250 to ride that's not powered by a single/twin sewing machine and just aimed at the learner market.

Oh wait .... we have a forum full of those people! :D

Oh, how correct you are Mr.Grey! However I doubt very much that the Ozzie market sector has been given much consideration in the decision making process. We are but a speck of sand in the big picture! We just ain't got the numbers.
