I remember the guy with the 454 was someone Harrington and used to dial in at 9.90 and run everyone down. Long time ago.

I could be wrong, but that looks like Dennis Syrims' old Corolla he ran a long time ago. (Dennis had a hand in building Willowbank.)

Some pictures from this weekends event. I counted 19 bikes from old Hardley banger, 250cc motorcrosser to turbo Hyabusa.

Good work. Some very consist anttimes there, its equating to 15.21 to 15.44 conversion for 1/4. Good work, but as others have said, need more launch revs and more slippage.

Its good being skinny isnt it? Instant weight advantage!

Not on this weekend, rescheduled for August 20th & 21st

    Hi All,

The unfavourable weather forecast from Friday through Monday has meant we have had to cancel the drag racing meet at Gunnedah this weekend (18 & 19 June).

A hard decision, but we prefer to call it early before people start travelling. We would appreciate it if you could let your friends know and help us spread the word.

The good news is we're planning a replacement date for 20 & 21 August.

    Regards

    TDRA Inc

Saturday 17th June 2017 Update: Our man on the ground (@Murdo) has sent through a pic of his competition. Seems like a good mix of serious and social racers. We wish Murdo well. His Purple CBR250 will be flying the 2fiftycc flag (metaphorically). I'm guessing that Vrod will smoke everything in the photo including the Nostaglia drag bike next to it.

    Well what a great weekend.
The mighty CBR ran like a watch, didn't have to touch it all weekend. Only five bikes running (there were some cars there too but I didn't take much notice), Harley Vrod (best of 6.1 @185kmh), Kawasaki 1100 modified bike (6.8 @ 169), KTM 690 motard (7.7 @ 145), Yamaha R1 (7.5 @ 156) and me at a best of 10.91 @ 99kmh on the CBR.
The opposition were giving me smiles and saying things like, "good to see you having a run, try your best, etc" but they stopped jibing me when I beat first the Kawasaki 1100, then the KTM 690 and Harley Vrod. I think they might have out-run themselves trying to catch me with a 5 second head start. In the finals a tail wind had sprung up and the temp had dropped a few degrees and both the Yamaha R1 and I broke out, R1 by .002 of a second less than I did so he got the win light. :D
It was good to be on 'the other side of the fence' rather than the official side for a change. All the other riders had a laugh and handshakes all round after the wins, so different from the car drivers, and was good to be accepted as just a rider. :thumb_ups: 14 runs over the weekend and I'm worn out today.
Next meeting is planned for September, so who is going to come and give me some opposition?
