Thought I would contribute to this area with some gems from my experience over the years.

This is what can become of your starter motor when you spin your motorcycle engine backwards at some speed.

I know there are some pretty bad pictures in this thread but... I think so far this may just take the cake.. The UK eBay link is there as well.. just in case you want to see more of this abomination.
The ONLY good thing about it is that it is a One of a kind....

The only question is, does it include the fella, because he looks like more fun than a "Barrel of Monkeys"

Lucky he has those mufflers or those trumpets would make it really loud... I see the steampunk theme, but do you have to instead the tanks, stand them upright, unscrew the caps to fill them and then strap them back down each time you fuel up? Might get a bit tedious, if the noise doesn't get to you first. Maybe the trumpets are small enough it isn't so bad. I don't think the build is as bad as some bobber/brat/cafe racer modifications you find on Gumtree.

There is actually a video in the ad also. The sound is very uninspiring.
I guess it is art. But you do not have to like it.
Maybe it should be placed in an art gallery.

@Murdo I have to confess that the motorcycle engine is in my race car. If you do not dip the clutch quick enough during a spin the engine turns backwards. Not something motorcycle engines are designed for.

Watch out for hairline cracks in GSXR little end bearings.

Could see how that could happen. Been 25 years since I last drove a Pirahna with a GSX1100 engine. When it spun it did it before I could blink. Wouldn't have the reactions now to drive it.

That guy's still smarter than the current US president! And, less of a dick too I'm guessing.

I normally dont like "Cafe Racer" conversions as such but I must admit I do like the overall look of this bike... Not sure if it is the scalloped knee reliefs in the tank or the colour but it is one of the better jobs I have seen...
I dont know how well those Firestones would handle on this bike... and the braking would be interesting.. the single piston front was never much good and to have what looks like the same size rear with a more modern caliper.. hmmm
And as for getting the 750 to run nice all the way through the rev range with Pods... tell him he's dreaming

Yes I did see that one ..... scrap the tractor tyres and the brown seat and add a front guard and it would impress me more

Yes, a good set of Classic Avon’s and a classy front guard and it would be much better.
With that color I don’t actually mind the brown seat, kind of enhances the grey but a quality black would be better.

Maybe a very dark grey seat would suit

You can get pods to work all through the rev range by correctly tuning the carbs, but once riding at speed, things might change.

On sale here in Dublin for Euro 4250 (AUSD 6900), the exhaust 'downtubes' are worth a close look.
Underneath it's a 1995 Yamaha FZR 400, if I win the lottery I'm going to buy and then crush it.
