Yesterday i picked up another cheap project bike that's been sitting for roughly 8 year's.
It's a FZR250R 3LN3 with a 3ln1 engine (3LN3 sump) compression's are 170, 170, 170, 165, missing most of the plastic's, tank and foot peg's, ignition switch and key, rear subframe and a few other bit's, has done 31,000km's going off the speedo.
Not sure what to do with it yet, it came with a rego plate so will be walk in registration

So in SA you could go and register that pile of parts without an inspection? That's good.

Have you identified what the carbs are?

I have a set of zeal carbs which don't have the more secure needle retention mechanism, others may however

There you go - that tallies with the zeal carbs I purchased - mystery solved and it didn't involve Scooby Doo & Shaggy and a man dressed in a monster suit to say 'I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids"

I smell a drag/track bike opportunity. They are good cold comp numbers as kiffsta said.

Both ANDRA and IHRA now have Junior Drag Bike classes if you want to get the son involved too!
