Yeah yeah. I still need to pass the Computer test lol As long as they don’t close the border and keep me out of Albury. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Well, the address on my license is an Albury address. Unfortunately Albury is an “undeclared area” so no Stay Upright courses. That means I have to do the computer test and pay my money to get my “L’s”. Then when ready I do a Curbside rider test. Just like it was in the old days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Anything would be better than the crap u have to do with cones in a carpark and all the other associated waste of a weekend with Ls and Ps here in NSW The questions are easy as they are multiple choice and u can practice it online beforehand
And that is why my address is in Albury. If I was just over the border in Victoria it is even worse than the NSW Stayupright setup. Plus it costs over $1000 by the time you get your license. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Umm no, that won’t be happening. It needs a really good detail. Not sure if I will keep the Oxford heated grips. I will wait and see I guess. The Reamus exhaust sounds nice but it is a bit fugly but should look better polished up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Yes, winter is still alive and well down here. It is currently 6 degrees with a “feels like” of 4 But I won’t be riding on Rainy days. I have a perfectly good Company Car for that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Snagged a used R/R for the VTR250. Man I hope that shitbox has compression and fires off with a little 'start ya bastard'. Going to be one hell of a project if it turns out to be a viable motor. Snagged luggage racks/cases for the 900 hornet. Hard to find aftermarket parts for a bike last made in 2007, but every once in a great while used stuff pops up! Still trying to find the time to package up the 250rr top half to have it re-lined. Decided I'd rather spend more to have a motor that hasn't been welded back together. Been having a hard time catching the guy at the local machine shop to check the specs on the head, but such is life when you work full time.
The new bike arrived home today... now tucked up in the garage with the SL125 and SRX. It really needs a good detail... I forgot how easily Honda Nighthawk Black marrs up... plus the rims are filthy and the pipes need polishing... I wonder what I might be doing this weekend. I might need to do a little rewiring as well... apparently the Oxford heated grips are wired directly to the battery as is a USB charging connection.... WHY???
If it's like the 900, the wiring on the grip controls is a weak point. Interesting to see the difference in the frame between the cb900f and cb400. If those sliders are engine mounted I would remove them. Plenty of 919s have "sunday cases" from a tip over.
Great looking cb400 Andy , nice pick up On a side note , a certain social media platform tells me that our illustrious leader, aka the big cheese , aka the big kahuna and after referred to as maaaaate is celebrating a birthday happy birthday @GreyImport
My care package from @XCite Bikes arrived for my mc22 , new switch block , lock set , clutch cable, fuel line, mirrors , grommets etc It is starting to look like a bike The tank and wheels are off getting painted to match the fairing kit , so while I wait, the next job will be chain and sprockets and then fit the rest of the fairings.
The sliders bolt on using the engine mounts so not solely on the engine... hopefully there will not be any tip overs... The CB400 doesnt have any "factory" wiring for heated grips, hence the aftermarket Oxford grips... I would just prefer them to be coming of a switched supply with a relay rather then wired direct to the battery... Right now if i was to forget to turn them off it would drain the battery as the Grips on mine dont have a Battery Saver mode... easy enough to change the wiring and that way when the ignition is turned off so are the grips.
whites powersports do a set of hot grips with the controller built into the left grip, they can be wired straight to battery or to switched power and they have their own online fuse.
Yes thanx again to the French for celebrating my birthday every year Bike registered for another year .... check Made it to 68yrs old ..... check Happy birthday to me .... check Bit chilly up on the ranges but missed the rain and blew out the cobwebs on the hotrod
