hmmm looks like I might be forced into using the horrible wave discs or shell out over $400 for metaldisc items.. I need to re-measure and maybe not be quite so fussy lol
My FZR still has the original discs ... Ive no idea of the specs as Im not presently at home but they have been fine for the years Ive had the bike .... they certainly stop u in a hurry and nearly throw u out of your seat if u overdo it ..... I would rebuild/kit the master cylinder before anything else on mine The only thing I do with older discs is clean them with a wet steel wool soap pad to remove the glaze
Yes.. remeasured the fronts and they should be be fine.. the rear has a big lip and will need changing but that one is easy.. and relatively inexpensive.
I hung Christmas decorations. Apparently I'm doing it wrong. But if this is wrong, maybe I don't want to be right... Actually, it looks more like a butcher's shop...
I havent been happy with the wheel chock on my little fold up trailer and have been deliberating on which one to get to replace it.. I decided this morning on the one I wanted.. I will need to drill some new fixture holes into the trailer but that is easy. I also have some 300mm Anchor Track to mount so it should be pretty easy to load a bike and tie it down when I am finished. All I need now are some decent Motorcycle straps rather than the "general purpose" ones I have that are around 5 metres long
It should be this one... https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Motorcy...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
Picked this mc22 up on Sunday , advertised as an apprentice mechanic had a go and it won’t run. Tank was off, air box was off , one spark plug lead was off as well as the bellypan I thought I’d have a quick play , so I hooked up the aux tank and the jump pack and she turned over but wouldnt start. I have it a bit of throttle and she fired on 2 , a little more coaxing and she roared into life on all 4 , turns out some one loosened off the idle adjuster, once I set that back to where it should be, I have gave her a clean and reassembled her This is exactly the same as my first 250 road bike, bought back some great memories. She purrs like a kitten and rides really well
Good score. Sounds like one of the "I've had it with this piece of ****. I'm gonna sell it" bargains.
Had a 'moment' on the way home from work on the ZXR, getting a bit excited through the roundabouts as you do and the front tyre said NOPE decided to let go for a split second as I got on the throttle. Time for new tyres.
I've busy with a hybrid bike, not electric hybrid, by putting a dirt bike single-cylinder motor in a zxr250 frame. I've had to do some fabricating for engine mounts, kickstarter (that took a lot!), gear shifter linkage and a few other pieces. I had to work out how to marry the electrics of a CDI engine to a TCI/12V DC bike, especially the key system. I did have a lot of successes, only had to cut one frame mounting lug to fit it in. But now I have reached the really tricky part: intake and airbox. I could just order a pod filter. I'm so close to ridable, now. Years of planning and I'm nearly there...
Greetings from Patong beach , nursing a reasonably decent hang over so I went for a wonder to get some bike shots Scooters . Scooters and more scooters , this seems to be what everyone is riding I did find a bike repair shop and wrecking yard , the owner doesn’t speak English and I don’t speak Thai , but he let me take a few shots so all is good. Even found. Honda v750 shadow amongst it all Scooter fuel stop The Thai people are so kind, everyone thinks I need a taxi and a suit
No its what they need ... your money ... like every other third world Asian country , youre a walking ATM Ahh the good ol Honda Wave When u travel out in the boonies in the provinces of the Philippines where there is obviously no petrol stations they have setups like that but use coke, pepsi and 7up bottles Alot of expat yanks ride the Japanese Harleys ... gotta look the part
I have a Honda Wave but mine is only 100cc. Now back to the topic. 3D printed some rubber grommets that are are smaller on the ID to suit the braided brake lines. The ones that I got with them did not match the Honda dimensions. I cut these because the rubber is so stiff I would never be able to push the banjo through the hole. The one on the left is the original Honda part. 3D printing rubber is a pain. Well actually 3D printing is a pain full stop, but it does come in handy.
First of all they are obscenely slow and secondly they are ridiculously temperamental things. There are so many variables. For example, there are no standards that I am aware of for filament composition, so different brands will require different settings, which is all hit and miss. Ambient temperature, humidity and so on ad nauseum. The internet is full of useless videos by people making ridiculously simple toys in their basement, but you get that. Anyway, despite all of my whinging, it is a great little device for prototype work. Next to useless for anything else. I am making plugs for chain slider moulds at the moment. It is going to take weeks to get them finished, but that is okay.
Is filament the only type you have used? The original versions were layered sinter powder type, and these seem to be used by professionals who can make parts in a range of materials, including engineering metal products of steel, aluminium and titanium.
OMG, I am just a mortal. The cheapest versions of the thingies you are talking about start at 100000 US a piece. I can't even afford a CNC mill never mind one of those doovers. Here is a nice one can print at 1 micron.
