Thanks basically at first I thought I’d go all out trying to diagnose every single problem on the bike all in simplicity 1 compression that seems to vary and is low at the moment fuel I got around 6-7 liters ignition there’s sparks 4 combustion that’s not happening I’m just in awe to what others might think that I can’t seem to get the motor to make noise and the garages I seek out all want me to strip all the way down and I’m just scared I might end with an engine rebuild or have to strip it all down and add work that isn’t needed to just start the engine and get some air fuel mix flow and rev it to clear the pipes and check exhaust I guess I’m just tired of wrenching at a motorcycle that doesn’t do motorcycle stuff and running out of cash and energy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
1-compression 2-fuel 3-ignition 4-combustion Thanks for going through all the typos and mis inserting numbers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I removed the side stand switch and cleaned around the area with the last bottle of wd40 left maybe a spray or two left inside the can the switch hangs loose now the screws and the little aluminum protector are in a little bucket I did that just because whenever I turned the starter switch from off to run the bike doesn’t read neutral when it’s in neutral gear and taillight doesn’t read brakes Something electrical is definitely going on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You will need to remove the wires from the switch and connect them together, the circuit needs to be complete or it still thinks the side stand is down. Use a short piece of wire with the ends stripped and push it into both the connectors from the side stand switch..
The wires are inside a metal case where the end has a little spring that goes in when the side stand is down, there wasn’t any screws that seem to lead to any open wires since they’re in a sealed case... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Follow wires of sidestand switch up. Continue until you reach connector. Disconnect connector to remove sidestand switch. Remaining two wires on harness side of connector, connect with jumper. You can spew all you want to get ideas down. But go back 4-5x and edit your writing and add punctuation and paragraphs. Yes, review it 4-5x. Certainly helps us understand and we can help you fix it. This is 5-min fix if we can figure out what you're saying.
Walked all the way over and around 25 blocks and left the petcock at a place 6 blocks out the dude claims he might just might find a copy that fits and asked for a couple of days to look around... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks dude definitely will do maybe I’m just spewed out with starting the engine with no tank carbs with no plunge cable for choke a cold motor with electric issues The wrong sparks No starter on the handle bar And a bike that’s outside in the rain that last ran with no air box I’m just hoping for no severe damage to the cylinders I hooked a spare car battery to a trickle charger a few hours ago it read 10v on a cheap multimeter I’ll leave that on charge for around 12-14 more hours I’ll follow the side stand switch wires when the sun is up and I might just cut the 2 wires before the harness and tie them together Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This made sense now i know there might be more issues electrically since whenever I connect the taillight it doesn’t read brake I gotta look for wire too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve been trying to get the brakes out of all goes well maybe color them and rewrite brembo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
for the time and trouble spent, you might be better off buying new parts. Any petcock that's old and used will need repair and rebuilding. New ones are available cheaply. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...earchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_
Definitely sounds awesome would save a bunch of hassle new and cheap parts I don’t credit cards to buy online Just some pocket cash And walking around to apply for valid ID and maybe a loan sounds deviating to walking to hardware stores and garages The perks do sound better tho Getting a desert sled an r9 or a scrambler maybe and crossing the border currently tho after walking from 7 different garages with the old petcock on me and a random army search without a warrant was given someone’s number being told he has petcocks Sent him google saves of petcock illustrations of the semi rectangular ones just to make sure the shape is right And asked if he has any He said yes these look like Suzuki volty taps and I immediately asked for cheap copies And told him 2.5$ good? he said he has an original used but in good condition petcock of a Suzuki volty That he’ll sell for 15$ then he asked what the part number was I just replied with 5.5 mm After checking the prices of the part number on google and getting results of 160£ it seemed a nightmare to cough or somehow make that much even i asked for his location & he sent it Then left my phone on charge with all my cash which is around 5$ more or less and headed there took me an hour to get there My intention being to see the part for myself and well be the judge all this with the metal sliders of the garage doors down that was Thursday I really just wanted to compare dimensions and fit it and get it on the spot Met him in person told him I’m the guy from the phone Showed him my part Even left my actual petcock with the guy so he has a hands on visual referral of size he said gimme 2 days That was Thursday I Didn’t even see the Suzuki volty petcock hands on to compare Waited till today Monday to make 13$ probably going all the way there again today and getting the part regardless Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Today i hooked a spare battery with cable to the terminals in the battery box I disconnected all the spark hoses and took a looksy The fan always gets in the way of Removing and tightening sparks managed to remove them all anyway the hoses fit but the rubber casing seems dull The hoses 2-3 from the right are still numbered 1-4 from the starter on the left don’t have numbers on them the hose to cylinder one was very shiny The rest just some minor carbon at the tips going to spray some lubricant not even a full spray avoiding having to wait for them to dry out or have residue just enough to get them shiny got maybe 70ml left of AC-90 I always preferred that to wd-40 since it has a clear coat that comes out of the nozzle straw although not getting into what to stock up on - on desire news always wanted different colored spark connectors that give maximum current Followed the side stand switch wires up to the wiring glove it was the blue connector Cut it off and tied the wires together from the bottom of the motor with each other they weren’t copper wires steel or aluminum maybe Disconnected the fuel pump Unsure wether to check compression individually with all the sparks out placed my left hand as close to the openings and my right fiddled with the starter wires when the starters coiled air came out abruptly placed my thumb on cylinder 1 it was powerful cylinder 2 null 3&4 just placed my palm and estimated difference they gave out well Grabbed the spark hose 1 with the spark inside placed it near the frame from the inside where the air box goes got and gave a start got a little electric shock the spark was red HOT SPARK now I know there is spark tho Put them back finger torque tight and connected the hoses Sprayed starter fluid over the top of the carbs 4 little sprays of ether Wondered about choke having no lever placed a screwdriver on the orange bit and balanced it between carbs 3-4 Gave it a crank attempt for a second after sunset with no fuel thinking the ether might be enough as substitute to start the engine last attempt I had to drain the carbs carb 4 was drenched got me wondering about all the effort of cleaning the pilots At sunrise might give it a go with red sparks and some fuel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm all sure it's the sparks the only plan now is to get 4 ngk cr8e sparks and run it then Sent from my LG-X210 using Tapatalk
Haven't been able to check any messages on Tapatalk recently, and honestly haven't found an edit button, to correct typos and punctuation on old posts, really like this place it's Like an online bike log, adding irritation over agitated bike work won't suffice help?
