Does anyone know how to get in touch with Team Tiger ASAP? Ordered three sets of fairings 2 months ago, and paid for. unless they turn up yesterday, the whole Phillip Island thing is cancelled for us WA riders.
PM'd my number. Trying to organise a box big enough - does anyone know where to get a box that can fit 1100mmx600mmx600mm? I was hoping as you guys were organising transport that you would have taken care of the packaging too. I've got dad hunting. Cheers Simon
Simon, it will be complicated to find a box that big. I normally buy medium sized boxes, and tape 2 of them together to get the size I need. You might want to stop by your local Harvey Norman depot. People normally take their appliances inside their car, leaving gigantic boxes behind on a dumpster. You might find a strong box that you can reduce to desired size. For freight, check e-go.com.au. They are a freight broker. They use large companies (TNT, Toll, etc), but cost a fraction of the price.
So after months of being ****** around we got a mate to pick up our THREE sets of fairings for us and bring them back as baggage by Air. This was done because it seems a roll of masking tape and some cardboard were too difficuly to find in Queensland, and the technical difficulties of measuring said box were seemingly too hard. 2 months had passed and we were told they were 'Ready'. Sadness beyond compare happened when the 'products' (MC22 raceglass) was before our eyes, and Phillip Island dreams were shattered to be logbooked in time, let alone have rideable bikes that a no scruitineer would ever pass- Pretty speechless atmo, heading quickly towards depressing sadness, wont be nice when the anger gets unleashed. Communication has broken down. I'll take it as an insult to humanity.
I don't really know the full story but good quality race glass could easily exceed 1300$ for one set. Source: http://www.raceglass.com.au/model-list/makes-and-models Not sure how much you payed for that glass per set but I am sure it was allot cheaper. A lot of guys have used glass of that grade from what I have seen painted elbow grease ect and race no problem. Perhaps communication was poor and maybe 2 months is a slightly long time to wait but in my opinion that is honestly what I would have expected. Not trying to stir you up but when I bought 5$ shirts from china I had to wait over a month and the shirts where crap, you get what you pay for.
Bullshit do some research and don't talk out of your ass These were not chinese, nor were they $5, which would be $5 too much. Ive fitted and raced on $350 chinese fairings without problem This (Below pics) Aussie MC22 raceglass is $500 includes zues fasteners and screen that's that's just a quote for ONE set.; I wont name the well known company, not hard to find. Stupidly I read this forum and those that race mc22's was a better idea, turns out to be the dumbest khunt of an idea ive had for a long time. I was the one who pushed to go the direction we did.
