Info GSX 250 is just fine for a 62kg.

Hi to All!
This is what i got last year with 25K on the box… on very good price and original conditions. GSX 250s 1985.
I’m a sound engineer/tour manager in the music industry, living right in the GP Island in Vic… So, this is my first bike. and my first post.


And this is what i put together during the winter and ride to check the waves at home…
All mods are from original parts. Relocated, inverted,trim, cut, fill…
with a very limited time, tools and with help and knowledge from forums like this.
All work is roadworthy. no metal frame is been touch.



Just what i call a "MotoBoob job “
Rear fender trimmed
Stop light relocated
Seat : Trimmed, re fill with expandable foam and shape with sander. Whaterproof, Cover on my old 4mm wetsuit. Mechanisms remain the same.


Rear-set: Left to right pillion pegs relocated. to the second bolt. level to swing arm.
YSS shocks.
Gear shifter on race mod 1 up 5 down.
Brake pedal Trimmed.
Reverse cone to blow the nose.




Ramair filter sheet-(same material and flow that pod filter. cut to fit) airbox remain the same.
Small E 12v indicators.
Tommaselli small ACE bar. and grips. (no a mm to spare)
Headlight, Controls, ingnition and speedo box lowered via Ramset bolts.






Original rims: Tires: one size up.
Sport Demon 100/90 front. (Fork brace ramain the same) 110/90 rear.
Fork service and with that old coins trick... (Venezuelan coins works perfect on this size forks) good luck if you want to find one.




The usual tune up and valve check and the OK GO! from the local bike shop.

Is a great bike! suit my 62kg body (Power-to-weight ratio) and i can't get of it!
Is plenty of safe, fun empty roads down this way of the Bass hills and with this radials is even better!

HAHAH! i'm getting into bikes to avoid the Tech boys in the studio.. I grow up in the analog world... so, dynamic comps issues where resolve at recording time, to avoid fixing comp on the mastering time. = RED HOT level on 2inch tape machines.! No computer bedroom producers.

Thanks Murdo! is just the little steps what makes the difference for me, changing the foot, seat and bars setup just feels great to ride! Is a + that the bike was mechanically sweet too.
