Hey, while the fzr250 is a sports bike and especially for the japanese market... What are your driver sizes to ride the bike more or less comfortable? I am interested in the bike but relatively tall... Thanks, Spark.
I'm a 6ft 4 freak but I'm flexible enough to squeeze in decently. The 3LN bikes are significantly more cramped and I couldn't comfortably ride a stock one but the 2KR is much better. A few small changes to the footpeg locations and levers and the 3LN would be very fine IMO Sent from my SM-G991B using Tapatalk
Im 6ft and 104kg... ish. Its definitely a sports bike position as far as the legs are concerned... so long as your knees bend ok you should be right. Upper body is pretty comfortable, more roomy than a CBR250RR (MC22). I find the low seat height contributes to the low centre of gravity... plus they weigh around 145kg ( someone knows the exact amount) which makes them easy to throw around a corner. Put some Metzler Sportec or nice Pirellis on it and have fun!! how tall are you? how much do you weight
I'm about 180cm and the only issue I encountered was my left knee hitting the choke lever bracket. It could be relocated. I like the low seat height and the reach to the handlebars and handlebar position is comfortable. I found CBR250RR to be too small for me, ZXR250C is just outright uncomfortable but is the fastest of all the 250 fours. Could be improved with a seat modified to remove the forward slant to the tank. I changed handlebars on mine which was a moderate improvement. GSXR250 GJ74A I never got to ride. I wonder if @risky has done anything with it. Maybe I will get it back and finish it now that shipments from Japan are happening again (they weren't during covid) Still prefer the FZR overall. FZX250 Zeal is comfy but basic, twin shock rear with no linkages leaves a bit to be desired. GSF250VY was good, bigger diameter forks than all other 250's and a monoshock with linkage, nice engine with the variable lift on the inlet cam. Never ridden a ZR250 Balius, nor a Suzuki Across though.
Im 6ft , 100 kgs , 70yrs old (now) and incredibly handsome , and rode my FZR250 for years , including weekend trips away Never had a problem and was always too busy enjoying what it offers , even though mental strain may occur from carby issues, or carby glitches or sometimes the carbys needed attention. Ahh the memories .....
