The start circuit electrical drawing for a 3LN - the 2KR does not have a side stand switch. Note - The sidestand switch is closed when it is up and open when down. This means that the engine can not be started in unless in neutral when the side stand is down, and will start in gear when the side stand is up. The whole drawing Click for large version (Thanks to Fahornet for the english descriptions on this drawing)
OK, I have been doing a bit of serious research into the FZR wiring diagram and have produced a new drawing featuring the most important parts of the wiring When I get a bit more time I will expand it to cover the rest of the ancillaries.. HOW DOES IT WORK? Providing the ignition switch is ON and the kill switch is in RUN mode the following should occur. The indicator lamps are wired in series with the flasher relay. If a lamp blows or fails, or an incorrect wattage lamp fitted, or even a bad/corroded connection to the lamps, the flasher relay will not function normally. This then gives a visual indication on the dash indicator lamps of a problem by either not flashing or flashing fast. The fuel pump relay (FPR) is controlled by the ignition module. Turns on for about 3 seconds when ignition is first powered. Thereafter the fuel pump is only powered up when the engine is rotating. Neutral light comes on when in neutral via neutral switch. Safety relay (SR) is activated when the clutch is pulled, or when the neutral switch is closed (i.e. in neutral) via the diode . Oil light comes on when the oil level gets low (activated by the oil level switch). It also comes on when the start button is pressed via the diode. This is only done as a visual test of the oil light to ensure the globe is not blown. The start solenoid (SS) is activated when the start button is pressed, provided the safety relay (SR) is activated. The start solenoid (SS) activates the starter motor (SM) cranking the engine. this is it
Gents, these wiring diagrams are not appearing for me. Am I the only one? Or could you guys please repost the drawings? Thanks
We intergrated the old FZR250 forum into this one so some things were lost or didnt transfer .... we shall see if we can 'find' them @dave
