ZXR250- are the caliper seals directional?

    They look square, but i was expecting a taper to hold pressure in. Is my expectation out of line, or is the taper just REEEALLLLY subtle?

    1937 Royal Enfield 250, CF Moto 250 V5, Honda's XL250, CBR250, FT500 plus a few others.
    Ones I have seen are square and go in either way. When the pressure gets behind the piston the seal will twist and 'seal'. When pressure released the 'twist' will return the piston.
