Ended up taking some good seals off the C loooooool ,didn`t fix the broken screws though. Ran better when it had no seals which is weird

Are the screws in the airbox snorkels broken, or are the threads cracked/broken on the carbs? Big difference

The screws are snapped inside the carb bodies . Someone must`ve overtightened the bolts at some point

OK that is your problem. All the screws need to be tightened for the system to be airtight.

If you are lucky you might be able to wind the broken threads out by hand. If not, left hand drill bits half the diameter of the screw to grab and unscrew them. Cover the carb throats obviously.

The bolts are part # 92150-1363 and available on megazip

UPDATE so after much mucking around i changed the jet needles back to the non original n76u ones and now it`s perfect . no flat spot whatsoever. Starts great hot and idle always drops down to 1500 and stays there so i think i`ll leave it as is and not touch it anymore . The correct sparkplugs and float heights made a big difference . Now just waiting on a shindengen regulator and it will be good for a decent ride
