Well, the R3 is in Yamaha showrooms, I had a quick look this arvo at my local dealer, pricing is $7k ride away.

I personally like this more than the Ninja 300 ( especially the red\white one), for looks, comfort and the all goodies it comes with as standard , I might head down next weekend and take for a spin.

What's the RRP on those? Will they be competitively priced too? Yammys tend to be a bit dear...

Would have bought one to replace the Fizzer but they're a 321cc so not eligible for the lites class down here. Pretty dissapointed. Looking forward to testing one out still, should be a barrel of laughs. Similar price to the Ninja 300 too so should be competitive. Yamaha have been kicking some goals with the models they've been releasing recently.

Hmm. Like to see how it holds up in sales against the CBR500 range. Not a lot of coin difference there...

Nice looking bike, something a little different in the seat configuration which I like.......seat appears to be slightly raised against the tank, saves the rider(male) from getting squashed......you know what I mean!!
Weight is reasonable for a bike that size........would like to ride one.

Just returned from visiting the Yamaha dealership. The R3 was on display, a blue and black model....red and white was out the back. First impression....."NICE" bike looks great, very comfortable seating position and well instrumented. The R3 comes standard with ABS, fuel injected (sorry Grey) in a twin cylinder configuration.
The one thing I couldn't get from the Rep was the HP figures???? perhaps that comes out on official release date....not sure.
Release is the 18th of this month so I was told. What was great to see was the after market bits, Yamaha have some serious extra on offer which will satisfy many people, I was impressed to see pictures....prices........improved HP from a/market exhaust.
Pricing is $6995.00 drive away......sounds reasonable. Look forward to riding one...........should be fun.:thumb_ups:
