WOW , I love old pictures like this and your still into bikes. I'ts in the blood like all of us here .
Geez, look at this yobbo. Taken at my sisters house in Canberra on Easter Monday 1978. I used to have hair! Yamaha XS750D bought new August 1977.
Hi Murdo. Cool picture , is that a spotlight fitted , night riding a lot back in the days like i use to .Wonder where the bike is now though.
When I got married (another mistake) and bought a new car (Escort RS2000) I sold it to my cousin who moved to Emerald in QLD. He sold it to a bloke in Rockhampton who crashed it and we don't know where it went from there. Spotie is 100watt made from two different lights. After smashing it on a roo north of Charters Towers in July 78, I fitted two 55watt to the crash bar. I still use that Hallmark pack too.
Shame about your old XS being damaged. Wish i still had my old CB 750 , such a nice bike to ride for me anyway but would be way to heavy for me to use these days.Actually i inquired about it a very long time ago and was informed that it was in a smash , but that's all i was told.
lol yeah I suffer from middle age spread..hair still well past the shoulders and I can grow a beard now, only in gray though
my beard used to be red but now if i miss a shave is gray and if i was a farm dog would be put down.lol.
Yeah but I still cant work out if it was better or it was just that we were younger and naive I tend to agree with this little ditty
