Ok heres the latest on the lockup out at QR. Finished early today and got into dropping the motor and getting it on the bench. Took the head off the top barrel and found this, big chunk out of the top of the piston.
Very tight coming out, score marks both side if the pin but nothing front to back. This tells me that somethings been suck in.
On closer inspection I found what looks like a spring poking out of what looks to be a lube hole just above the middle seal either side of the crank bearings.
Ill split the cases tomorrow to see what lies in there.

God I miss me old man now, we used to spend hours sorting out these sort of problems together.

Any way Ill keep you all posted on the progress.

Sunday was a great day at Queensland Raceway.
Was amazed how many participants were there, last time we went numbers were much less however it was a mid week event. The fog cleared and a warm sunny day ensued. Had the pleasure of having my grandson Jack with us, however it started off poorly. Jack read the sign to pit lane [CHILDREN UNDER 16 NOT ALLOWED IN PIT LANE], sad face to start the day but soon discovered that kids were everywhere including pit lane, drama averted!

Once the riders were underway I strolled down to see how our mate Brizfox was doing. He had a smile on that wouldn't stop, surely if there was a prize for Happiest rider of the day, Brizfox would have to be No.1 contender.:D
The NSR was running well and was posting some good speed. Had the camera with me and got some good shots of the lads doing there thing.

The CBR was really performing well apart from the 1st lap fuel issue, we still have an issue with the temp gauge but think we have an answer to that. Clutch adjustment mid morning was about all that occurred during the day.
Lunch was called early due to someone running off the track.

Good to see Tim show up, he grabbed some footage of the bikes. Saw some incredible bikes, the moto3 Honda blew me away, incredibly fast coupled with a very accomplished rider and weighing a mere 80 kg's, how good is that :thumb_ups:

The only downer was mid afternoon when the NSR seized, felt sorry for Brizfox as he was having so much fun.
Gave him a hand to load his bike on the trailer whilst Chris was doing his last run of the day.

The racing over, we packed up and headed home content with a good day on the track. Was a long day but very enjoyable and the CBR did us proud once again. :thumb_ups:

Ok guys I have playing with this video and no matter what I do it looks shaky..... I didn't have any of my mounts so was just holding the housing in my hand.... Also as a POV camera it didn't pic up the bikes on the track like I would have liked... And I stuffed up with brizfox's NSR and lost the walk around footage... But if you guys would like to see I will post it...

I tried these tires this spring and couldn't get the feel for them, looks like you were having trouble sorting out the pressures a bit too. I found they were hesitant to go to full lean angle and would easily push the front if I did go low. Have you continued to run them?

Hi to all. Kiffsta , just found the footage at the race track dated 2014 ? , iv'e been trolling the site and found it , well i am a new forum member. That looks like some serious fun, any more footage that you would like to share. Sorry but i couldn't spot any SRX 250's though carving through the field !.Well i am slightly biased towards the SRX ;). I'll have to ask Andych to step in and wave the flag for the Yamaha SRX race team as he will have the wind tunnel bike :neo: up and running way before mine.
